Leothis Daniels, age 20, a male who was Black/African American, was shot on the evening of August 2, 2025 near Lyndon and Auburn streets by Stoepel Park on Detroit's west side. Police were alerted around 6:40 p.m., and two men in their 20s were found shot and taken to the hospital; Leothis Daniels, age 20, later died, while the second victim was hospitalized in serious condition.
