Bernard Walker, a 16-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost his life on December 25, 2014. Bernard was spending Christmas Day with friends at a house in the 4100 block of Virginia Park, about three miles north of downtown Detroit. During this gathering, a gun was present, and it discharged, striking Bernard in the head. He was immediately taken to Henry Ford Hospital, where he was placed on a ventilator. Despite medical efforts, Bernard succumbed to his injuries nearly 24 hours later.
