Anthony C. Williams, a 27-year-old police officer with the Detroit Police Department, tragically lost his life on July 20, 1986. Officer Williams was attempting to serve a warrant on a man for carrying a concealed weapon when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. as Officer Williams stepped onto the front porch of the suspect's residence at 12027 Northlawn.
