Michael Heisler, a 52-year-old resident of St. Clair Township, Michigan, tragically passed away on November 15, 2013, due to a hunting accident. Heisler was hunting on state land in Albert Township, Montmorency County, when he was accidentally shot. The incident occurred on the first day of Michigan's firearms deer hunting season. Heisler was found shot in the leg after he did not return from his hunting trip. The cause of the accident was attributed to the careless handling of a firearm.
