Ivbran Otis Martin Jr., a 26-year-old Black/African American man, was killed in a shooting in Burton, Michigan, during the early morning hours of October 2, 2021. Burton police were dispatched at approximately 4:35 a.m. to a residence at 1220 Tanglewood Lane after receiving a report of a shooting. When officers entered the home, they found Martin in the living room suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
