Mustafa Al-Yasiry was tragically killed on April 18, 2014, in southwest Detroit, Michigan. His death was a result of a violent assault orchestrated by members of the Latin Counts street gang. According to the indictment, several gang members attacked Al-Yasiry at the Big Apple Market, following the orders of Victor Vasquez, a leader within the gang. During the assault, another gang member approached from behind and fatally shot Al-Yasiry.
