In the fall of 2021, a domestic dispute in north Phoenix tragically escalated, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Alex Aguilar. On the evening of October 8th, near 29th Street and Bell Road, an altercation broke out between Aguilar and his 28-year-old girlfriend. The argument took a fatal turn when the girlfriend allegedly shot Aguilar.
Phoenix police responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m. and found Aguilar with a gunshot wound.
Despite any medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The incident was investigated by the Phoenix Police Department as a homicide.
Following the investigation, the case involving the shooting of Alex Aguilar was handed over to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
