Erica Garner, a 42-year-old mother from Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost her life on January 27, 2016. She was fatally shot while waiting to pick up her son from basketball practice. The incident occurred near the corner of E. Eight Mile and Ryan, where she was approached by a violent predator attempting to carjack her. Despite her efforts to drive away, the assailant fired a shot, resulting in her death.
