Daunya Fields Fizer, a 13-year-old girl from Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost her life on December 25, 2021. Daunya, who had physical and developmental disabilities due to abuse in infancy, was non-verbal and used a wheelchair. She and her adoptive mother, Elaine Fizer, 57, were found shot to death inside their home on Christmas Day. The discovery was made by Elaine's older daughter, Margaret Shively, who had come to help with Christmas dinner.
