Janiya Brown, a 15-year-old girl from Berkley, Michigan, was tragically found dead on May 11, 2022, in Detroit. Her body was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in an abandoned vehicle near the 8800 block of Burnett, close to Joy and Livernois. Janiya had been reported missing since April 25, 2022, after she ran away from her aunt's home in Berkley, where she had been staying since moving from Cleveland, Ohio.
