Death by Force

Demetris Shepard, also known as "Fuji," was tragically murdered on June 14, 2016, on Detroit's east side. At the age of 34, Shepard was standing outside a home in the 3000 block of Bewick Street when he was shot by someone driving by in a gray Jeep Commander. The incident left his family and community in shock and mourning, as Shepard was remembered as a generous and beloved individual who would have given the shoes off his feet to help someone in need.
