Rayfield Crume, an 80-year-old man from Orlando, Florida, was last seen on the evening of June 2, 2004. Crume, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, was supposed to meet his wife at a Home Depot in Orlando to pick up a freezer but never arrived. At the time of his disappearance, he was driving his brand new white 2004 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
His truck was later found abandoned and burned on June 4, 2004, near Fort Myers, Florida, stuck in the mud at the edge of a cypress swamp. Witnesses reported seeing an unidentified man leaving the vehicle, but by the time authorities arrived, the man had vanished. Extensive searches of the surrounding area turned up no trace of Crume.
Crume was a well-known figure in Orlando, having hosted a gospel show on WOKB radio for over 30 years. Despite searches and investigations, his body was never found, and authorities believe he likely wandered away after being unable to free his truck. His case remains unsolved.
