On the afternoon of New Year's Eve in 2017, a tragic event unfolded in Ypsilanti, Michigan, that cut short the life of Kevin Clay Hughbanks. A 50-year-old Black male, Hughbanks was fatally shot in what appeared to be a random act of violence.
