On an early Sunday morning in August 2014, the life of 29-year-old Derrick Allen Andrews of Ypsilanti, Michigan, was tragically cut short. Andrews, a father of three and a 2004 graduate of Ypsilanti High School, was fatally shot in the torso in Ypsilanti Township. During the same incident, a woman also sustained a gunshot wound to her leg. Known affectionately as 'Rah Rah,' Andrews was remembered by loved ones as a dedicated family man.
