On June 26, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred at the Georgia Place Apartments in Ypsilanti Township, Michigan, resulting in the deaths of 20-year-old Tyrese Burks and 16-year-old Dallas Williams. Two other individuals, 14-year-old Cater Williams and 19-year-old Travis Williams, both brothers of Dallas, sustained serious injuries but survived.
