In the early hours of June 7, 2018, 20-year-old Emilio Valdez left his mother's home on Oliver Street in Pontiac, Michigan. He was seen getting into a black Pontiac Grand Prix, after which several gunshots were heard as the car sped away. This was the last time his family would see him alive.
