On a summer night in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the life of 26-year-old Joseph 'Jo-Jo' Devontae Jovon Tyson was tragically cut short. On July 1, 2018, Tyson, a Black male, was shot and killed in an incident that also claimed the life of 22-year-old Andre Sanders. The shootings shattered the community, leaving friends and family to grapple with the sudden and violent loss.
