Andre Sanders, a 22-year-old resident of Benton Harbor, Michigan, tragically lost his life on July 1, 2018, due to a shooting incident. The incident occurred during a block party in the 1000 block of Lavette Avenue. According to reports, the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety officers were breaking up the party around 1:30 a.m. when they heard several gunshots. Sanders was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
