In the quiet neighborhood of Fern Creek in Louisville, Kentucky, the holiday season of 2020 was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 39-year-old Rogelio Torres Garcia. On the night of Wednesday, December 23rd, the sounds of gunfire pierced the winter air on Del Maria Way. When officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered a grim tableau. Two men had been shot, one of whom was Rogelio Torres Garcia.
