In the early morning hours of October 10, 2019, Roderick Draughon Webster, a 44-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in the driveway of a residence on Detroit's west side. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 9100 block of Hartwell Street. Webster, an employee at Motor City Casino for over two decades, was discovered by neighbors with multiple gunshot wounds. The shooter had fled the scene before police arrived.
