In the cold of a Detroit winter, a man's hope for a new beginning was tragically extinguished. Steven Shelby, a 41-year-old male who had recently moved from the warmth of Tampa, Florida, to seek better opportunities in Detroit, was found dead on January 20, 2022. His body was discovered by a realtor inside a desolate, abandoned building on the city's west side, a grim end to his search for a new life.
