Deonta Thomas, a 25-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, tragically died on August 29, 2021, from a gunshot wound to his thigh. The bullet struck a major artery, leading to his death. The incident occurred near Woodingham Drive and Puritan Avenue. After being shot, Thomas was driven to Sinai Grace Hospital in his own truck by friends who then left him at the hospital entrance and walked away.
