Javar Harrell, a 21-year-old resident of Eastpointe, Michigan, tragically lost his life on May 29, 2020, during a night of widespread protests in Detroit. Harrell was sitting in a car near downtown Detroit when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire, striking him and causing fatal injuries.
