Ronnie Pruitt Jr., a 33-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in what appeared to be a random act of violence at a BP gas station in Detroit on the evening of December 23, 2020. Pruitt and his wife, Sharnell, had stopped at the gas station located at the corner of 7 Mile and Woodward Avenue to refuel their vehicle.
