Willie Mills, a 31-year-old Black male, was killed in the early hours of New Year's Day 2021 in Detroit, Michigan. The incident, which marked the city's first homicide of the year, took place at a residence on Griggs Street that he shared with his girlfriend, Kiantay Lovett-McCall.
