The incident that claimed Martin's life occurred on Tebo Street. In what was described as a drive-by shooting, occupants of a white Chevrolet Equinox traveling northbound opened fire.
The shooting resulted in multiple casualties. In addition to Martin's death, four other individuals were injured. The wounded included a 46-year-old man who was left in critical condition, a 28-year-old woman, a 17-year-old male, and his 11-month-old daughter, who was also critically injured.
