On a cold December morning in Flint, Michigan, just two days after Christmas in 2007, Rebecca Ruth Torres, a 35-year-old Caucasian woman, was found dead in her home on LeErda Avenue. The discovery, made by Flint police at approximately 9 a.m. on December 27th, marked a tragic end to what family members had hoped was a period of calm in her sometimes-turbulent relationship with her husband.
