Tikiya Allen, an 18-year-old nursing student at Oakland University, tragically lost her life on July 21, 2021, in Detroit, Michigan. Tikiya was shot and killed while riding her bicycle outside a friend's duplex in the area of Pingree and Linwood around 4:30 p.m. She was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire, a victim of senseless gun violence that has left her family and community devastated^1^.
