An 18-year-old nursing student named Tikiya Allen was tragically killed on July 21, 2021, in Detroit, Michigan, when she was caught in the crossfire of a shooting. A female, Allen was riding her bicycle near the intersection of Pingree and Linwood streets on the city's west side at approximately 4:30 p.m. when the incident occurred. Believed to be an innocent bystander, she was not the intended target of the gunfire.
