In the early morning hours of July 10, 2022, the life of 14-year-old Keniyah Bryant was tragically cut short in a Detroit, Michigan apartment. A Black/African American female, Keniyah was with a group of teenagers, including her 13-year-old boyfriend, when a stolen handgun was being passed around. The evening took a devastating turn when the boy aimed the gun at Keniyah and fired, inflicting a fatal gunshot wound.
