On May 5, 2024, a tragic shooting incident occurred in Southwest Detroit, resulting in the death of Hollie Stoops, a 41-year-old woman from Lincoln Park. The incident took place at approximately 2 p.m. in a vacant house located in the 3800 block of 33rd Street, near Michigan Avenue.

Stoops was found inside the house with gunshot wounds to her head and back. Another victim, May Hernandez, 28, from Monroe, was also discovered at the scene with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Additional ...Read More
