In the early hours of October 24, 2021, a dispute inside a Shell Mart in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, escalated into a fatal encounter that claimed the life of 27-year-old Lawrence Cordell Walker Longmire. The male victim was shot and killed around 2:30 a.m. near the convenience store located at 1 W. Sherman Boulevard. Another man, who was 31 years old at the time, was also injured in the shooting but survived.
