Vernell Antwan Cornelius, a 23-year-old resident of Muskegon, Michigan, was tragically found dead on the morning of July 18, 2015. His body was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in an alley between Wood and Riordan streets in Muskegon Heights. This incident was one of the several homicides that occurred in Muskegon County in 2015, a year that saw a total of eleven homicides, six of which were gunshot deaths.
