Corporal James Calvin "Jamie" Walker, a 32-year-old officer with the Waynesboro Police Department in Mississippi, tragically lost his life on September 28, 2005. On that fateful day, Corporal Walker was conducting a traffic stop on a suspected stolen vehicle near the city library in Waynesboro. As he approached the driver's side of the vehicle, the driver opened fire with a shotgun, fatally wounding him.
