In the spring of 2014, the life of 20-year-old Cureon Pope, a Black male from Waynesboro, Mississippi, was tragically cut short. On the evening of April 13th, Pope was at the intersection of Spring Street and Glitter Lane in his hometown when he was fatally shot. The incident sent ripples of shock and grief through the local community.
