On the evening of October 8, 2024, in Waynesboro, Mississippi, the life of 44-year-old Eddie Poole Jr., a Black male, was cut short by an act of violence. At approximately 10:15 p.m., Poole was on Claiborne Jones Road when he became the target of a drive-by shooting. The sudden eruption of gunfire shattered the night's quiet, leaving Poole with fatal wounds.
