On June 29, 2024, 24-year-old Brandon Michael Cartwright from Fruitdale, Alabama, was fatally shot at the High Noon Lounge and Karaoke bar in Waynesboro, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m.

Following the shooting, authorities identified 24-year-old Jaylen Keonta Mayfield of Waynesboro as a suspect. Mayfield turned himself in to the Waynesboro Police Department on July 1, 2024, and was charged in connection with Cartwright's death. His bond was set at $1 million cash. ...Read More
