In the early hours of July 5, 2015, a dispute that began inside Club Embassy in Waynesboro, Mississippi, spilled out into the parking lot and ended in the tragic death of 37-year-old Douglas McGill. The Black male was shot and killed during the altercation, which was described by authorities as a confrontation between individuals from different parts of the town rather than a gang-related incident.
