Carolyn Temple, a 69-year-old resident of Jackson, Mississippi, tragically lost her life on January 12, 2015, following a violent robbery that occurred on January 7, 2015. Temple was attacked while bringing in a garbage can outside her boyfriend's home in the Belhaven neighborhood. During the robbery, she was shot in the stomach after resisting the assailants' attempts to steal her purse.
