In the pre-dawn hours of a Tuesday in Jackson, Mississippi, the life of 22-year-old Deyonia Magee was cut short by gunfire. The fatal shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m. on June 24, 2025, near a car care business at the intersection of Siwell and Raymond Road. Initial reports mistakenly identified Magee as a 17-year-old, a detail that was later corrected by her family. At the time of the incident, she was in the company of a 16-year-old male who was described as her boyfriend.
