A quiet Sunday morning in Jackson, Mississippi, was shattered by violence on November 9, 2025, leading to the death of 47-year-old Alexius Cotton. A Black female resident of Jackson, Cotton was found inside a home on Meadowbrook Road suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
