In the early hours of June 6, 2026, a trail ride event at Grant's Field in Northwest Jackson, Mississippi, turned into a scene of chaos and tragedy. Amidst a large crowd, a dispute involving several unidentified males escalated into gunfire shortly after 12:30 a.m. When the violence subsided, 18-year-old Joidan Worthy, a recent graduate of Canton High School, was found dead, having sustained a single gunshot wound.
