On December 25, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Reedley, California, resulting in the death of 58-year-old Magdalena Alvarez. The event unfolded during a family Christmas gift exchange at a home on Goodfellow Avenue. Around 1:45 PM, Fresno County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call reporting gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered two women with fatal gunshot wounds: Magdalena Alvarez and 39-year-old Meisa Rashid, who was the girlfriend of Alvarez's father.
