On May 11, 2014, 42-year-old Daniel Anthony Coriz was shot and killed outside a residence in the Jamacha neighborhood near Lemon Grove in San Diego, California. Police responded to a report of gunshots just after midnight and found Coriz lying outside a home on Koe Street. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his upper torso, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
