Do you know who murdered Sherman? On January 14, 1999, Sherman Jennings, a taxi driver for Yellow Cab, was found dead in his vehicle on C Street in San Diego. A resident leaving for work early that morning noticed the abandoned cab and discovered Jennings slumped over the steering wheel. When authorities arrived, they confirmed that he had been fatally shot in the head. Jennings had picked up a fare late the previous evening, based on a call made from a payphone at the Euclid trolley station.
The caller, who identified himself as Kevin Brown, remains a key figure in the case, but no further leads were reported after Jennings' body was discovered several hours later.
The case remains unsolved, and San Diego authorities continue to appeal for information that might help solve the cold case. Investigators believe there may still be individuals with knowledge of the crime who have yet to come forward.
