Teletha Burks, a 37-year-old resident of Jackson, Mississippi, tragically lost her life on March 24, 2016. The incident occurred at the Jubilee gas station on Lynch Street, where Burks was shot multiple times. According to reports, there was a heated exchange just moments before the shooting. Burks was transported to a hospital but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
