On a warm Saturday evening in Jackson, Mississippi, the lives of a young family were tragically cut short in a brutal act of violence that sent shockwaves through the community. On June 27, 2026, 25-year-old Keyana Weathersby, her 30-year-old sister Erica Weathersby, and Keyana's 2-year-old son, Camari Givens, were all found shot to death inside their home on Queen Alexandria Lane. The Jackson Police Department was called to the residence for a reported aggravated assault, but upon arrival, they discovered a scene that was far more horrific. All three victims had been shot multiple times in what police have described as a targeted attack, not a random act of violence. The Hinds County Coroner later described the scene as one of the worst he had witnessed in his decade-long career.
The investigation into the triple homicide moved swiftly, with law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and U.S. Marshals, assisting the Jackson Police Department.
