On a November day in Jackson, Mississippi, the life of 32-year-old Nedra Johnson, a Black female, was tragically cut short. On November 9, 2015, she and 25-year-old Bradley Adams were found shot to death at the Sunset Plaza Apartments. The discovery of their bodies launched a double homicide investigation by the Jackson Police Department.
In the course of their investigation, authorities identified Johnathan Nickson as a suspect in the killings.
He was subsequently arrested and faced serious charges: two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Johnson and Adams, and an additional charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The case against him proceeded to trial, where the evidence and testimony surrounding the violent deaths were presented to a jury.
