In a quiet Jackson, Mississippi neighborhood, the lives of a respected ophthalmologist and his beloved wife came to a tragic end in the spring of 2014. Susan Mayfield, a 67-year-old woman, died on April 30, 2014. The events of that day led to the arrest of her husband, 68-year-old Dr. William Mayfield, who was subsequently charged with her murder.
