On a cold January day in Jackson, Mississippi, the life of 22-year-old Samantha Cannon was tragically cut short. On January 23, 2022, she was found inside a room at the Rainbow Motel on Medgar Evers Boulevard, the victim of a brutal double homicide. Alongside another young woman, 21-year-old Kiera Poole, Cannon had been shot multiple times. The Hinds County Coroner later confirmed that multiple gunshot wounds were the cause of death for both women.
