In the late hours of a Monday evening in Jackson, Mississippi, 80-year-old Annie Peoples was resting on her couch in her home on Nichols Boulevard. Suddenly, the peace was shattered by a barrage of gunfire as multiple individuals opened fire on her residence. A stray bullet struck the elderly woman in the head, tragically ending her life as she lay on her sofa. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on April 1, 2024.
