On April 1, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., 80-year-old Annie Peoples was fatally shot while asleep on her couch in her home on Nichols Boulevard in Jackson, Mississippi. According to police reports, a dark-colored vehicle approached the residence, and multiple individuals exited the car, firing several rounds into the house. Tragically, one of the bullets struck Ms. Peoples in the back of the head, leading to her immediate death.
